Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 cup vegetable or chicken broth
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp dried basil or oregano
  • 0.25 tsp chili flakes (optional, for personality)
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley or basil

Steps

  1. Place pasta, olive oil, garlic, tomatoes, broth, salt, pepper, and dried herbs into a large skillet or pot. Yes, uncooked pasta. Trust the process.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to a simmer.
  3. Cook 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally so it doesn't glue itself into a pasta brick.
  4. When liquid reduces into a light sauce and pasta is tender, remove from heat.
  5. Stir in Parmesan and fresh herbs like you meant for it to look this good.
  6. Serve immediately before it congeals into tomorrow's mistake.
